    Description

    This listing is for a complete rug hooking kit designed, assembled and sold by Sharon Perry. This kit which is suitable for the beginner or seasoned rug hooker comes with the following:
    Wool fabric strips cut in #8 (1/4")
    A color photo of the finished piece as well as a color key
    Pattern drawn on a lovely cotton monks cloth sealed at the edges to prevent fraying.
    Easy to follow rug hooking instructions
    Rug binding to finish it off once you have it hooked
    The only other items you will need are a rug hook and a frame to put your piece in. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before spending more money and getting a floor frame. I think you need to determine whether you like a hobby before investing too much money into it.
    As for the hook I have solid hardwood and steel hooks listed for .00 but you can choose the option to add one to your kit for just .50 when you make your purchase.
    This kit when completed measures 14 inches in diameter (across)  and would make a great wall hanging, table centerpiece, pillow top or chair pad. The rooster is hooked with mixed autumn shades and the grass with two shades of green. The background is hooked with over dyed charcoal gray and for a finishing touch I added a row of rusty mustard and another row of over dyed charcoal around the outer edge.
